It is commonly known as ‘Chicago’, but in reality it isn’t nearly as bad as that. Large parts of it have been refurbished as part of one of the biggest urban regeneration projects in Central Europe. Here you’ll find the faded glory of once-grand 18th- and 19th-century architecture, crumbling courtyards and eclectic façades. Many of the city’s most remarkable buildings can therefore be found here. You’ll also find plenty of places to stay here that offer good value for money.
