Don't forget to grab the Largo do Intendente for the lovely shop A Vida Portuguesa.
If you like to relax in a park every now and then during your city break, this is an ideal district. From the elevated Parque Eduardo VII you have views over Lisbon's hills. Where the park ends, upmarket Avenida da Liberdade begins, where Portugal's wealthy shop. You'll find mostly hotels, luxury shops, chic restaurants and kiosks here. You then cross the eastern hill with the Elevador do Lavra. This brings you via Largo do Intendente and Praça Martim Moniz to the Mouraria district. This is Lisbon's most multicultural neighbourhood, which can be seen in its many shops.
