You mustn’t miss the centre of Milan, with its magnificent monuments.

If you want to stay in the heart of the city, you should head to Centro. The main attractions are all situated around Piazza del Duomo. You can admire the imposing façade of the white-marble cathedral and the famous Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, which links Piazza del Duomo to the Teatro alla Scala. You can shop to your heart’s content at the major high-street chains on Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, but don’t miss a visit to the upmarket Quadrilatero della Moda. If you fancy a visit to a museum or need a bit of peace and quiet, head to the Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli, a large park on the edge of the city centre.
