If you prefer to stay in the heart of the city, then Santa Cruz is the neighbourhood for you. Santa Cruz, home to the medieval Judería (Jewish quarter), is Seville’s oldest and most historic neighbourhood. Here, you really do step back in time. Centuries-old city palaces, countless churches and beautiful ‘hidden’ patios abound. It’s no wonder, then, that it’s always bustling here. The neighbourhood is teeming with cafés and restaurants; you can enjoy a leisurely stroll and lose yourself in the winding alleyways, or simply relax in the park. In the evening, once most tourists have returned to their hotels, this is perhaps when it’s at its most beautiful.
