Sit next to a minister on the terraces of the Square or meet a well-known musician in the pubs around the Grand Place.
This is your district if you like the heart of the city. The centre has an invisible dividing line between stately and folksy that was traditionally defined by sand and peat. The rich side - the sand - is where the Binnen- and Buitenhof, the Old Town Hall, the Grote Kerk and the covered shopping arcade De Passage can be found. The former moor is where you now find the lively Chinatown; obviously the place for the toko, Chinese supermarket and good food. In the city centre, you won't be short of anything in terms of shops and options to dine or have a drink.
