If you like being right in the heart of the city, this is the place for you. Twenty years ago, this was an area of derelict factories and vast expanses of open land. It was only when the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències (‘City of Arts and Sciences’) was built here that this neighbourhood came into being. Many affluent Valencians and expats live in the modern flats. In Camins al Grau, you’ll find large shopping centres, such as Aqua and El Saler, as well as plenty of surprising restaurants. You’re close to Valencia’s historic centre here, and the beach is within walking distance.
