Good budget option on the north side of Montmartre. The rooms are fresh and the vibe in the hotel is vibrant. There is a nice bar. The hotel is against the city centre ring road, in a slightly rawer neighbourhood. So if you quickly feel unsafe on the streets in the evening, better choose another hotel.

TRIBE Paris Batignolles

Hip & happening hotel in Batignolles. Nice rooms, good shower. Breakfast at the hotel is definitely possible, but there are also plenty of nice options nearby.

HÔTEL AMOI PARIS

Peppy design hotel close to the Canal Saint Martin, where it's great to relax on the canal's quays especially in summer. Nice restaurants, shops and bars abound. This is a favourite neighbourhood, though.

You don't book this hotel for the neighbourhood, the central location, or the cool interior, because fair is fair: you'll be on the metro for over half an hour before you're in the city from this basic hotel. But such a spacious, fresh and affordable room is hard to find within the ring road.
